The name is Thethe.

It sounds like “te” in 10, but twice. Tete.

My Picture My Picture My Picture

I love fantasy, sci-fi and photography. This is me exploring Scotland, Portugal and Germany. You can check more of my perspective in this link.

I’m currently working on Mercado Bitcoin, the biggest crypto company in South America. My mission in to make simple and accessible the complex world of Blockchain, Crypto and Web3.

I was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil and I’m still here, actually. Since 1991. I love our people, our climate, or nature, our mixed culture and mostly, our food.

Professional

I lead a team of six Product Designers at the largest crypto company in South America. I ensure strategic alignment, foster a collaborative environment, and make sure the user perspective informs decisions across the organization.

In addition to leadership, I work as a Senior Product Designer within squads, supporting PMs and stakeholders in problem discovery, hypothesis validation, and solution definition. This hybrid role allows me to combine strategic vision with hands-on design execution.

Early Days of Work

I started my career in web design and branding in 2011. In the beginning, my focus was graphic design, including projects for brands like Google, Mercedes, BMW, Rappi, Komatsu, GOL, Gafisa, and Dengo.

During that time, I created dozens of websites using WordPress and Wix, complemented by development in HTML and CSS, and also designed my first layouts and interfaces.

Product Designer

In 2017, I decided to step away from branding and focus exclusively on UX/UI. I worked as a freelancer for a few years while studying and then secured a full-time position at an agency.

Since then, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, from small businesses (like Wan, a therapist) to large companies such as Allianz and Deloitte. In parallel, I also worked as a consultant for Santillana, a major Spanish company in the education sector.

Beyond Santillana, my biggest professional challenge has been working at Mercado Bitcoin. Being part of a unicorn company is challenging on its own, but a Crypto Unicorn is a true roller coaster. We can dive deeper into that if you’d like.

Skills

I’m highly adaptable and comfortable navigating different contexts. Working with a wide range of companies and projects taught me how to quickly adjust course, manage demands, and collaborate with diverse profiles.

I create intuitive, accessible, and pleasant interfaces that are always aligned with business goals. I have experience with Android, iOS, web and responsive layouts, and Accessibility documentation. In addition to B2B solutions like SaaS, I also work with Backoffice systems.

Tools

Beyond essential tools like Figma, FigJam, and Adobe Suite, I’m also very skilled with Notion and Excel. For data, I have experience with Mixpanel, Clarity, Hotjar, and some Google Analytics. I also understand HTML and CSS, and I coded my portfolio myself.

Recently, I’ve been exploring Artificial Intelligence for UX Writing and idea generation with Lovable. I also built a heuristic and UX principles validation agent that evaluates screens to identify improvements or potential issues.
